Noble Causes 7

Anyone out there who is not already familiar with Jay Faerber's Noble Causes from Image comics should check out issue number 7, available now. It was pencilled by friend of Portal Productions Gabe Bridwell. I met Gabe last year at Heroes Con and have kept in contact with him since. He's a talented artist working on projects for Image, Marvel and DC. He's also contributing a pin-up for RIP #1.

I wanted to post the link to Zine-a-palooza's web site. I'll be setting up at this event in July. By then we should have copies of RIP #1 available as well as the yet unnamed Portal anthology with Arcadia, Demon Alley and Dreamer. Check out the site and c'mon down!

Just wanted to put up a bit about Arcadia, the project that Randy is finishing up with writer Pablo Varela and inker Gary "Dubbs" Mitchell. We're very happy to say that following Arcadia, Dubbs is going to stay with Portal and ink the first full issue of RIP.

More of Dubbs work can be seen at:

Dreamer update

Just wanted to update everyone on the Dreamer project that Eric Dotson and I are working on.

Dreamer is the story of Atlanta police officer DJ Bennett. When DJ's father dies unexpectantly he is given possession of a mysterious "key" that once belonged to his Grandfather Captain Sam Bennett. Sam Bennett was a former Air Force test pilot who was also a member of a top secret military task force investigating extra-terrestrial activity in the 1940's. Captain Bennett mysteriously disappeared around 1947, never to be heard from again. Now, after taking possession of the key, DJ Bennett begins to have bizarre frightening dreams. Dreams of strange creature with fantastic powers. Dreams of himself battling theses creatures. And dreams of a mysterious, beautiful woman. DJ's life is changed as his dreams begin to become reality and he is thrust into a fight that has been resurrected after 60 years.

Watch here for information about when and where Dreamer will be available.

I aplogize to the many, many, many people who I'm sure visit this site all the time and went to the Atlanta Comic Convention today looking for me. LOL! The truth is that, as some of you may or may not know, I have a full time job as a firefighter/paramedic...and Saturday we were extremely busy. I came home Sunday morning and slept until Sunday afternoon!
